Alberta Human Rights Commission

We can investigate complaints about the Alberta Human Rights Commission (AHRC). Before you make a complaint to us, we want to make sure you’ve tried to resolve your complaint directly with the people involved. Here’s the information for you and some tips on how to make your complaint.

How to Complain to the AHRC

If you believe that you have experienced discrimination in one of the protected areas and based on a protected ground, you may wish to make a complaint to the AHRC. Prior to making a complaint, you may wish to complete a self-assessment to see if your complaint would likely fall within the Alberta Human Rights Act, here: https://albertahumanrights.ab.ca/complaints/am-i-in-the-right-place/self-assessment/.
