The Alberta Ombudsman does not have jurisdiction over banks, however, our office can investigate complaints about Alberta Treasury Branch (ATB). If your complaint is about ATB, you can find more information here.

Banks & Credit Unions

  1. Complete the internal process. Most banks and credit unions in Canada have their own internal complaints process, and many have their own Ombudsman or comparable appeals process. Contact your bank to understand what options are available to you.
