No. The Alberta Ombudsman does not have jurisdiction to investigate complaints about insurance companies.

For life, health, and travel insurance you may wish to submit a complaint to the OmbudService for Life and Health Insurance (OLHI).

For concerns about Alberta Blue Cross, visit their Concerns and Complaints webpage.

For home, automobile and business insurance you may wish to submit a complaint to the General Insurance OmbudService (GIO).

If your complaint concerns an insurance agent or broker, submit a complaint to the Alberta Insurance Council (AIC).
